FDOpt field development optimization software estimates the optimum number, type and locations of new wells. It also determines the primary controls (rates or BHP) that should be placed on each well. The FDOpt is not an optimizer on its own. It must be coupled to GLOpt or any other viable optimizer to work. In summary, FDOpt can be used to estimate optimal:
1. Well locations
2. Well controls (rates or pressures)
3. Number of producers
4. Number of injectors
5. Life time of the reservoir.
6. Time to put the well on operation (start of production or injection).
